We strongly believe that anyone approaching the end of their life is entitled to a high level of quality, empathetic care and support in their own home where they feel most comfortable, surrounded by memories and members of their family. Our staff are trained to provide a person centred level of both palliative and end of life care and support to an individual and the people closest to them, in a manner tailored to their needs and wishes.
The type and level of support required will depend on the individual’s illness and condition however many symptoms can be managed well at home with the support of our professional and comprehensively trained staff.
We liaise with other health professionals such as district nurses, GPs and social workers for advice and guidance to ensure that we are providing the appropriate level of support to each individual. We maintain contact with them throughout the period of care as the individual begins to deteriorate and their needs change.
We can also provide advice and support on equipment and possible adaptations to an individual’s home where required.
We aim to support an individual coming to the end of their life, and their family, with care and comfort in what will be a difficult and distressing time. Our dedicated and highly trained team of 4 carers who are solely responsible for providing a high standard of empathetic and person centred care and support to any individual, and their family members. We believe that it is particularly important that continuity is maintained during such a difficult and uncertain time of someone's life. As a result of this our team of Interim Care Assistants are trained in End of Life Care and are all experienced members of staff.
